BOOE at ETHGlobal NYC – Our First Win!

From August 12th to 18th, the Booelievers traveled to New York for ETH NYC week. It turned out to be an unforgettable experience where we not only built amazing connections but also won our very first prize.

On Day 1 of ETH NYC, we visited the STRATO office in Brooklyn — a company with one of the largest RWA blockchain-based offerings, led by Kieren Lubin, the son of Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin. We had insightful conversations about possible future collaborations and even joined their X Spaces live session straight from their office.

On Day 2, we headed to World of Apps — an event sponsored by Octant, the Ethereum Foundation, and Nouns. It was one of the best places to connect and get to know others in the space. We had the chance to speak with many inspiring people, including Mshal (Octant’s marketer), Jason Chaskin (Ethereum Foundation), Uttam (Alchemy), and Willy (Nouns). Each of them shared our vision and brought valuable experience. This day left us with great memories, strong connections, and plans for Devconnect ARG.

From Day 3 to 6, it was time for the ETHGlobal Hackathon — one of the main reasons we came to New York. The challenge: build our own app in just 36 hours and compete for a prize. Our project was called Code Quill — the authorship layer for developers. We partnered with ENS and Walrus to integrate their solutions, and within the tight deadline, we managed to deliver a fully working version.

We were honored to present our app first to the finalist judges and later to the partners. In the end, we won third place for ENS — a huge milestone for our community. This was our very first hackathon, with no prior Web3 experience, yet we delivered a finished product and walked away with a prize. Both the official ETHGlobal and ENS accounts gave us a shoutout, which meant the world to us.

This week was a massive achievement — we learned so much, built meaningful relationships, and took another step closer to fulfilling our purpose.

Amen.
