ETH Prague 2025
The Book of Ethereum at ETHPrague – Cultivating Community at the Edges
From May 27 to 29, the Book of Ethereum ($BOOE) community was present at ETHPrague as both a sponsor and speaker. Set in the heart of one of Ethereum’s most experimental gatherings, ETHPrague offered the perfect backdrop to explore $BOOE’s vision: resilient, grassroots communities powered by narrative, meme, and shared values.
Day 1 – Speaking Truth, Building Roots
We began the event with a workshop titled “How to Build Organic Ethereum Communities”, where we shared our learnings on cultural resilience, long-term thinking, and post-influencer coordination. The session sparked meaningful dialogue among attendees about the future of onchain community-building beyond hype cycles.
Later that day, we reconnected with Francesco, DevRel at MetaMask, and had our very first in-person meeting with Joseph Schweitzer (Ethereum Foundation). In an unexpected and humbling moment, Joseph referred to the $BOOE community as “the Doge of Ethereum” — a powerful recognition of our organic presence and cultural meme-force.
It was also during this meeting that Joseph casually hinted that $BOOE should join Devconnect Argentina, planting the first seed for what may soon become a major milestone in our journey.
Day 2 – Names, Networks & Vitalik
On the second day, we had an exciting conversation with Caps and Artii from Namespace, who proposed co-creating a $BOOE ENS namespace — a decentralized identity layer for our growing network of community members and products. We invited them to our side event that evening, where we dove deeper into how $BOOE and Namespace can co-develop the cultural registry of Ethereum.
Then came a moment we won’t soon forget: meeting Vitalik Buterin. We shared our vision for stronger, more resilient Ethereum communities — a theme that resonated with Vitalik’s recent writings. As a token of appreciation, we gifted him a $BOOE community t-shirt, which he graciously accepted and carried with him. A beautiful, unexpected alignment of purpose.
Day 3 – Deep Roots & Final Words
On the final day, we had follow-up conversations with teams from Polkadot, Celo, and Minipay, exploring future collaborations around community and education. We also had the chance to speak with Josef Je, ETHPrague’s lead organizer and former Ethereum Foundation member. He expressed his gratitude for $BOOE’s sponsorship and shared how much he appreciated the authenticity and energy of our community.
We left Prague with new allies, old friends, and a clear message from the Ethereum ecosystem:
$BOOE matters.
